Terms and Conditions

A. Definitions and Interpretation

  1. “Competition” means Maths Genius 2026, a national-level online mathematics competition conducted and administered by I am Samarth, through its official digital platform.
  2. “Organiser” means Samarth Trust, the owner and operator of I am Samarth, which conducts and administers the Competition.
  3. “Participant” / “Student” means a student studying in Grades 6th to 10th, duly registered for the Competition either as an individual participant or through a registered School / Institute.
  4. “Parent” means the natural or legal guardian of a Participant.
  5. “School / Institute” means any recognised educational institution in Bharat registering or subscribing students for the Competition.
  6. “School Representative” includes the Principal, Vice-Principal, Institute Administrator, School Administrator, Chairman, General Secretary, Teachers, or any other person authorised by the School / Institute to act on its behalf.
  7. “Platform” means the official website and/or mobile application of the Organiser.
  8. “Final Round” means the last evaluative stage of the applicable League, Challenge, or Competition, as defined in the Competition structure.
  9. Interpretation: Words importing the singular shall include the plural and vice versa. Headings are for reference only and shall not affect the interpretation of these Terms and Conditions.

B. Acceptance and Legal Binding Effect:

  1. By accessing, registering for, facilitating, supervising, or participating in the Competition in any manner whatsoever, all Participants, Parents, and School Representatives expressly acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“T&Cs”).
  2.  Acceptance of these T&Cs is mandatory and legally binding. No claim of ignorance, misunderstanding, or lack of communication shall be entertained.
  3. Any person who adds another user (including a student, teacher, staff member, or administrator) to the Platform represents and warrants that:
    • Such a user has been duly informed of these T&Cs, and
    • Such a user has expressly agreed to be bound by them.

C. Student Registration and Obligations

  1.  The Competition is open only to:
    • students studying in Grades 6th to 10th at the time of registration, and
    • Citizens of Bharat.
  2. Students may register in either of the following ways:
    • Individual Student: Individual registration is permitted only if the student’s school is not participating in the Competition; or
    • Institute Student: Registration through the School / Institute, where the school is participating in the Competition.
  3. Where a school is participating, individual self-registration shall not be considered as Institute registration, and student registration shall be completed only by the concerned School / Institute.
  4. Each Student shall:
    • register using one unique mobile number;
    • provide their name exactly as per Aadhaar records; and
    • Complete their profile, including personal, academic, and parent details, before commencement of the Competition.
  5. Registration shall be completed online through the official website or mobile application only.
  6. The registration fee is ₹99 (GST not applicable), which is strictly non-refundable and non-transferable. Students holding an active annual membership (valid till 5 September 2026) to “I am Samarth” shall be exempted from this fee.
  7. The registration fee will be considered only if paid via the I am Samarth official website or mobile application.
  8. Any false, incomplete, misleading, or mismatched information may result in immediate disqualification, without refund or claim of any nature.

D. School/Institute Registration and Obligations

  1. All schools across Bharat are eligible to participate, subject to full compliance with these T&Cs.
  2. School registration shall be completed under the registered institute entity to which the school belongs.
  3. The following users are mandatory for each registered school:
    • Principal of the school;
    • All Maths Teachers of participating grades, and
    • Students studying in Grades 6th to 10th.
  4. Optional users may include:
    • Chairman, General Secretary, Vice-Principal, School Administrator, and other teachers.
  5. Schools shall:
    • Declare the actual student strength, division-wise, for Grades 6th to 10th;
    • Ensure a minimum 90% registration in each division for award eligibility; and
    • Ensure the correctness of all student grades, identities, and teacher details
      before the commencement of the Competition.
  6. Registration for the Competition shall be completed only through the official website and/or mobile application of the Organiser.
  7. The registration fee for the Competition is ₹99 (GST not applicable), per student. The registration fee is strictly non-refundable and non-transferable under all circumstances. Students holding an active annual “I am Samarth” membership (valid till 5 September 2026) at the time of registration shall be exempt from payment of the
    registration fee.
  8. Payment of the registration fee may be made either individually by students or in bulk by the School / Institute, through the official website or mobile application of the Organiser.
  9. Any Transfer Certificates, staff exits, or student withdrawals during the Competition must be updated on the Platform within five(5) days. Failure to do so shall render the school ineligible for institutional awards.

E. Competition Format

The Competition format is customised based on the Participant’s grade:

    • For Grades 6 to 8: Phase 1: Boudhāyana Division: Minimum Numerical Skills (MNS)
    • Grades 9 and 10: Phase 1: Boudhāyana Division: Minimum Numerical Skills (MNS) and Phase 2: Mahāvīra Division: Minimum Learning Ability (MLA)
  1. Phase 1: Boudhāyana Division: Minimum Numerical Skills (MNS)
    • Applicable to Participants in Grades 6th to 10th.
    • This League assesses fundamental numerical concepts, including addition and multiplication of integers, and consists of:
      • Entry Stage: 40 questions to be solved in 10 minutes, assessing speed and accuracy.
      • Qualifying Stage: Structured practice tests across three categories, each comprising three levels.
      • Final Stage: Seven (7) consecutive timed tests to assess accuracy and speed.
  2. Phase 2: Mahāvīra Division: Minimum Learning Ability (MLA)
    • Applicable only to Participants in Grades 9th and 10th and comprising:
      • Minimum Learning Ability – 1 (MLA-1)
      • Minimum Learning Ability – 2 (MLA-2)
    • The League assesses concepts across:
      Natural Numbers, Integers, Fractions, Rational Numbers, Decimal Fractions, Algebraic Expressions, Algebraic Equations, and Miscellaneous topics.
    • Each challenge consists of three rounds:
      • Entry Stage: Assesses participants’ understanding of abilities through timed questions, assigning the right preparation path for the Qualifier Round.
      • Qualifying Stage: Prepare for the Final Round through a structured practice worksheet based on participants’ assessment in the Entry Round.
      • Final Stage: Battle in 3 consecutive tests containing mixed ability’s timed questions to prove clarity, precision, and problem-solving strength.
  3. Each Phase, Stage, Category, Level, and Test shall have its own passing criteria based on accuracy and consecutive performance, depending on the passing criteria mentioned in the Instruction of the Competition.

F. Evaluation and Ranking

  1. Students in Grades 6th to 8th
    • Ranking shall be based solely on performance in the Final Round of the  Phase 1: Boudhāyana Division: Minimum Numerical Skills (MNS) and shall apply only to Participants who have completed the League
    • Priority for ranking shall be:
      • Highest accuracy in the last seven (7) consecutive tests of the Final Round;
      • Minimum time utilised in the final successful attempt;
      • Minimum number of attempts taken to complete the Final Round.
  2. Students in Grades 9th and 10th
    • Ranking shall be based on the average performance across the Final Rounds of:
      • Phase 1: Boudhāyana Division: Minimum Numerical Skills (MNS)
      • Phase 2: Mahāvīra Division: Minimum Learning Ability (MLA)
        • Minimum Learning Ability – 1 (MLA-1); and
        • Minimum Learning Ability – 2 (MLA-2).
    • Priority for ranking shall be:
      • Highest average accuracy in all Final Stage (last attempt);
      • Minimum total time utilised in all Final Satge;
      • Minimum total number of attempts taken to complete the Competition.
  3. School Rankings
    • School rankings shall be calculated only where all registered students have completed the Competition.
    • Two categories of school ranking shall apply:
      • Schools with Grades up to 8th: Eligible for the Vallabhi Award;
      • Schools with Grades only up to 8: Eligible for the Vallabhi Award, which will be awarded in each state of Bharat.
    • School rankings shall be determined based on:
      • Highest average accuracy of all students in Final Stage;
      • Minimum average time utilised by students in Final Stage;
      • Priority to schools whose students complete the Competition earliest.
  4. In the event of a tie, the Organiser reserves the right to apply additional tie-breaking mechanisms, including additional assessments, the outcome of which shall be final and binding.
  5. All rankings shall be compiled, verified, and published by the Organiser, whose decision shall be final, conclusive, and binding.

G. Student Awards and Conditions

  1. Students shall be eligible for awards only upon successful completion of the applicable Competition.
  2. Each Student shall be entitled to only one award, being the highest-value award for which the Student qualifies.
  3. Awards shall be distributed strictly in accordance with the official Award Structure published by the Organiser.
  4. Award Classification
    • Grades 6th to 8th:
      • National Level: Boudhãyana Award for National 1st Rank, and Grade-wise award for top three (3) rankers
      • State Level: Grade-wise awards for top three (3) rankers
      • District Level: Grade-wise awards for top five (5) rankers
      • Consolation Awards: Fixed awards for eligible Participants completing the Tier 1: The Foundation – Minimum Numerical Skills (MNS
      • Digital Certificates: Issued to all Participants
    • Grades 9th and 10th:
      • National Level: Mahāvīra Award for National 1st Rank, and Grade-wise award for top three (3) rankers
      • State Level: Grade-wise awards for top three (3) rankers
      • District Level: Grade-wise awards for top five (5) rankers
      • Consolation Awards: Fixed awards for eligible Participants completing all Final Stage
      • Digital Certificates: Issued to all Participants
  5. State Award Eligibility
    • A minimum of fifty percent (50%) of districts in the State must participate, and each participating district must have at least ten thousand (10,000) registered students from Grades 6th to 10th.
    • For Union Territories, a minimum of ten thousand (10,000) registered students is required.
  6. District Award Eligibility
    • Each district must have at least ten thousand (10,000) registered students from Grades 6th to 10th.
  7. Award disbursement shall be subject to verification of identity, academic eligibility, and compliance with these T&Cs.
  8. Award amounts shall be disbursed by cheque in the name of the Participant.
  9. All award amounts shall be subject to applicable statutory deductions, including taxes.
  10. The Organiser reserves the right to conduct offline verification or assessments before final confirmation of award recipients.

H. School Awards and Conditions

  1. Kāpitthaka Award
    • Applicable to schools with Grades up to 9th or 10th or above..
  2. Vallabhi Award
    • Applicable only to schools with Grades only up to 8.
    • This will be awarded in each state of Bharat.
  3. Eligibility Conditions:
    • Minimum 90% student subscription in each division;
    • All registered students must complete the Competition.
    • Ranking based on average student performance.
    • Award applicable only to the registering school.
  4. Schools must submit an Affidavit declaring:
    • Student and staff strength as of the registration close date and the Competition end date; and
    • Details of exits during the Competition (within seven days of closure).
  5. Failure to submit the affidavit or any discrepancy in data shall result in forfeiture of the award, and the next eligible school shall be considered.
  6. Award disbursement shall be subject to verification of registered students, participating Maths Teachers, and the Principal as on Competition closure.
  7. All award money shall be subject to statutory deductions, including applicable taxes, as per prevailing laws and regulatio

I. Code of conduct

  1. General Conduct
    All Participants shall act honestly, ethically, and in good faith throughout the Competition. Participants shall strictly adhere to all instructions, guidelines, and technical requirements prescribed by the Organiser.
  2. Parental Responsibility
    Parents or legal guardians are responsible for ensuring that Participants comply with these Terms and Conditions and do not engage in any act of misconduct, misuse, or violation of Competition rules.
  3. Institutional Responsibility
    School Representatives shall ensure that all students registered by the School / Institute participate fairly, independently, and in compliance with these T&Cs. Any failure in supervision, misrepresentation, or non-compliance may result in disqualification of the concerned Participant(s) or the School / Institute, as applicable.
  4. Prohibited Activities
    Without limitation, the following acts are strictly prohibited and shall result in immediate disqualification and/or termination of participation:
    • Cheating, impersonation, or use of unfair means;
    • Use of calculators, artificial intelligence tools, external websites, books, or any unauthorised assistance;
    • Attempting to manipulate, interfere with, or compromise the Competition Platform, results, rankings, or evaluation processes;
    • Providing false, misleading, or inaccurate personal, academic, or institutional information;
    • Sharing login credentials or permitting access to another person.
  5. Device and Platform Usage
    • Participants shall:
      • Access the Competition using only one (1) device and one (1) login account;
      • Not switch between devices, browser tabs, applications, or websites during an ongoing test or assessment;
      • Not attempt to pause, restart, or otherwise manipulate the test environment.
    • Any violation of this clause shall result in:
      • Immediate termination of the test session;
      • Automatic submission of the test by the system; and
      • Loss of progress or scores, for which the Organiser shall bear no responsibility.
  6. Consequences of Misconduct
    The Organiser reserves the right to:
    • Disqualify any Participant or School / Institute;
    • Cancel results, rankings, certificates, or awards; and
    • Initiate appropriate legal action where misreprmisconduct, fraud, or esentation is established.

J. Limitation of Liability

    1. General Limitation
      To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Organiser, its trustees, officers, employees, affiliates, technology partners, and representatives shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with participation in the Competition.
    2. Technical and External Factors
      The Organiser shall not be responsible for any loss, disruption, delay, or inconvenience caused due to:
      • Internet connectivity issues;
      • Power failures;
      • Device or software malfunctions;
      • Server downtime or system maintenance.
    3. Risk Acknowledgement
      Participation in the Competition is voluntary and undertaken entirely at the risk of the Participant and/or School / Institute. The Organiser does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the Platform.

K. Dispute Resolution

    1. Finality of Decisions
      All decisions of the Organiser relating to eligibility, registration, participation, evaluation, rankings, awards, disqualification, and interpretation of these T&Cs shall be final, conclusive, and binding on all Participants, Parents, and School Representatives, and shall not be subject to challenge.
    2. Jurisdiction
      Any dispute, claim, or legal proceeding arising out of or in connection with the Competition or these T&Cs shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at Nashik, Maharashtra, India.

L. Amendments and Modifications

    1. Right to Amend
      The Organiser reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to amend, modify, suspend, or cancel these Terms and Conditions, the Competition schedule, format, eligibility criteria, evaluation methodology, or awards structure, in whole or in part, at any time.
    2. Binding Effect of Amendments
      Any amendment or modification shall be published on the official website https://iamsamarth.com/ and shall be deemed effective and binding upon all Participants, Parents, and School Representatives from the date of publication.
    3. Deemed Acceptance
      Continued access to or participation in the Competition following such publication shall constitute deemed acceptance of the amended Terms and Conditions.
